How do I remove Wordpress from my website?

If you, like me, need to remove Wordpress from your domain then hopefully you have come to the right place.
I had an issue with my Wordpress account and just wanted to remove it and start again from scratch.

So when you installed Wordpress you may have done this the same way that I did.  I went to my C-Panel, opened up Fantastico De Luxe and then clicked on Wordpress in the left hand navigation bar.

When removing, this is your starting point.

At reaching this point you will see you have a "Current Installation"

Simply click "Remove".

Now I can reinstall Wordpress right? If only everything in life was this simple!  You now have to go to your File Manager (in C panel) and then go to wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes and you want to delete all these folders before you can go back and reinstall Wordpress again.

This is where I came accross another issue.  I wasn't able to delete these folders in my Cpanel.

This is where you need to involve your hosting company.  If you contact your hosting company (mine are the very friendly people down at Total Choice Hosting) and explain the site that you are having these problems with they should eiither explain to you what to do or if they're really nice, like Total Choice, they will remove these files for you.

Now you can ether reinstall Wordpress in the same way you did before or start your website in another way.
